Description

NO BRITTANY WITHOUT SALT NOR WITHOUT “GWENRANN*”

Breton gastronomy is not known to be bland. And for good reason !

Salt, present in almost all our dishes, and sometimes subject to joke, is one of the most famous productions of the Breton Country.

Here is a crunchy and natural fleur de sel delicately picked during the summer on the surface of the water by two passionate salt workers in the salt marshes of Pen Buzo, in the Gwenrann/Guerande peninsula.

These two independent artisans, associated within the family company L’Atelier du Sel, harvest a natural salt on the Mès basin, without treatment or enema, and which is not the object of any addition.

This Guerande fleur de sel is certified IGP (Protected Geographical Indication), thus guaranteeing the origin of the product and the method of working in keeping with tradition.

*Gwenrann, the Breton name of Guerande, means the “white plot”, a probable reference to the salt marshes that marked the history of the peninsula.
