KARANTEZ VRO has the secret of atypical Breton products. And Ed Gwenn whisky is one of the most original in the country!
Breton lesson: Ed as cereal, Gwenn as white. Here is the first whisky made from 100% barley… of Brittany, of course.
Aged for more than 4 years in exhausted oak barrels, its rich and leaky aromas reveal notes of pear, lychee and mango. Smooth on the palate, with a very pale yellow colour, this whisky, unfiltered and bottled at 45%, will offer you a beautiful intensity.
We recommend that you taste your Ed Gwenn pure as “on the rocks”.

Located in Plomelin (Cornouaille), on the border of the Glazik and Bigouden countries, the Distillerie des Menhirs has distinguished itself since 1921 by using the best Breton products in the making of its alcohols. Buckwheat, cider apples and now barley have helped to shape the identity of this small distillery, which is genuinely Breton.
